This is a newly constructed general hospital. Farfly flooring possesses a combination of properties—including antimicrobial, anti-slip, wear-resistant, and easy-to-clean characteristics—that fully meet the rigorous standards required of a medical environment. After a comprehensive comparative analysis and careful deliberation, the hospital ultimately selected medical-grade homogeneous flooring as its preferred material for floor installation.

Material Selection

Given the hospital's specific requirements regarding extremely high foot traffic, Farfly selected homogeneous flooring from its *Boned* series. The surface of this flooring series features a specialized UV coating treatment; this not only provides superior scratch resistance but also effectively withstands corrosion and staining caused by most chemical reagents. In terms of color scheme, Farfly opted for beige and light brown tones, aiming to create a bright and airy architectural atmosphere while simultaneously serving to clearly delineate the various functional zones within the hospital. Furthermore, while offering exceptional load-bearing capacity, this homogeneous flooring also delivers a pleasant acoustic experience underfoot and a soft, comfortable tactile sensation.

Vimpocol SAS provided a comprehensive, end-to-end solution. Their professional installation team began by unrolling the flooring sheets and allowing them to lie flat for 1 to 2 days; this ensured the material fully acclimated and stabilized to the ambient temperature of the site.

Additionally, to maximize the flooring's antimicrobial efficacy, the Vimpocol SAS team installed the material with a 10-centimeter cove base extending up the walls, thereby creating a seamless transition between the floor and the wall surfaces. This specific installation technique was designed to ensure the flooring achieves optimal antimicrobial protection and stain resistance.

Upon completion of the flooring installation, the construction team performed a thorough disinfection and waxing treatment to ensure the floor environment fully complied with the hospital's stringent hygiene standards.
